Abstract


The events experienced by people in other parts of the world, especially in Islamic countries, which are mostly labeled as developing countries, are inseparable from education. Western countries that have a large and dominating influence in the field of education are derived from the two philosophers of Aristotles and Descartes in the world. Both have the same educational concept of dualism, reason, body, spiritual, immaterial and material. The impact of the application of the concept of western education, has caused a number of various humanitarian crises ranging from economic domination, political hegemony, military invasion, superior technology so that they are oppressed. Based on the concept of education and reality above, it is necessary to change the direction or purpose of education that refers to Islamic teachings. The step taken is to strengthen the proportion of the concept of the triagle - God, humans and the natural environment and its contents that put God in the top position, humans and the natural surroundings are under the foot of the triangle. Islam as a teaching in life has laid the foundations and objectives of education, namely there are two temporary goals and the final goal. Temporary objectives include physical skills, knowledge of reading, writing, knowledge of social sciences, morality, religion, spiritual physical maturity and so on. While the ultimate goal is the realization of Muslim personality as a basis for behavior in life. There is also a general purpose that makes a servant or servant of Allah SWT who likes to worship Allah SWT. While specific objectives include the ability to carry out the pillars of Islam.
